![]() The following is an overview of my pump area. I found a couple of small leaks in the house which I've repaired, but I decided that though the puddle wasn't in a direct line with the route I assume my municipal water supply takes into the house, it is only a couple of feet away, so I cleared a path and got a look at the small puddle. What prompted me to get serious is that my city water bill has almost doubled. I assumed it was from the summer rains and that it stayed wet longer because there's a lot of stuff in that vicinity which could affect drainage, such as the slab for the a/c condenser, so I vowed to check on it sometime after it hadn't rained for a few days, which I did from time to time, but I didn't actually move stuff or cut the weeds to get a good look until yesterday. I noticed a while back that there was a small puddle near my irrigation pump. Adding to my pump's neglect is the fact that it's on the end of the house overgrown with weeds and fruit trees, where we hide junk out of sight, so we only really go over there when we are needing something or one of the trees are producing. ![]() Over the years, several of the sprinkler heads have broken and occasionally I'll start making repairs in a section, but then life happens and it is several months until I get back to it. My house came with an irrigation well, irrigation pump and sprinkler system.
